Circus - Shop Window

Every element of this design was conjured up and created by Claudia.

“The main ‘tent’ comprises of two hanging panels, made from old carboard and reinforced with plaster bandages (leftover materials I had stored in a cupboard. Not the most eco-friendly, and in future I plan to use paper mache for this kind of 3D work).

After cutting and plastering the pieces, I went on to seal the surface and paint my design on top.

The elephant was made from fabric scraps, and the toadstools from chicken wire, recycled plastic bottles & plaster.”

“Working with Claudia, creating the ideas, execution and final result for the CIRCUS window, was akin to a roller coaster ride of creative joy.

Her desire to achieve perfection interpreting the brief is commendable and then she augments it.

The window at CIRCUS is small, and yet it is the eye leading into the colourful world inside. Claudia’s 3d artwork, setting the circus tent back from the glass, created a warm, welcoming invitation to encourage one to look more closely.

And that is just the result I had in mind.”
